Airports in Vermont

Sixteen public use airports and many private airfields and heliports serve Vermont communities and Vermont travel destinations.

Northern Vermont and the Northeast Kingdom

In northwestern Vermont, Burlington International Airport (KBTV) a municipal airport in South Burlington, serves the Champlain Valley region including Essex Junction, Shelburne, North Hero, Sr. Albans, Johnson, Hyde Park, Morrisville and other towns. Airport parking and car rentals are available at Burlington International. Franklin County Airport (KFSO) is a state airport in Highgate. Also in the northwest, a private airport operates out of Shelburne

Basin Harbor (BO6) is a private airfield in Vergennes in the Lake Champlain Region.

In northeastern Vermont and the Northeast Kingdom, Caledonia County Airport (KCDA) is a state airport in Lyndon serving Saint Johnsbury and other towns. Also in the northeast, John H. Boylan Airport (5B1) in Island Pond/ Brighton and Newport Airport (KEFK) in Coventry are state-run airports serving Barton, Orleans, Newport, Island Pond, Burke Hollow, East Lyndon and other Northeast kingdom towns.

Central Vermont

In central Vermont, Edward F. Knapp (KMPV) is a state airport in Berlin serving Montpelier, the Vermont state capital, and Barre VT. In Springfield, Hartness State Airport (KVSF) serves

 the central and south Vermont towns of Springfield, Londonderry, Dorset, and Manchester. Middlebury Airport (6BO), is another state airport in central Vermont, and it is convenient to Brandon, Randolph, Bristol, Waitsfield, Vergennes as well as Middlebury.

The state airport in Morrisville (KMVL) serves Stowe and other towns in north central Vermont. And the Southern VT Regional/Rutland Airport (KRUT)located in Clarendon, serves Rutland and is convenient to Woodstock, Chittenden, Fair Haven Poultney and Wallingford. In addition, there are private airfields at Sugarbush in Warren (0B7) and Post Mills in Thetford (2B9).

South Vermont

In south Vermont, William H. Morse Airport (KDDH) is a state airport serving the southwestern region of the state, including Bennington, Arlington, Manchester, Dorset, and also south central Vermont towns such as Marlboro, Newfane, Wilmington, and Mount Snow. Mt. Snow Airport (4V8) is a private airfield in Dover.
